Kegan & John's Wedding

26th November 2011
What a range of photo locations we had today! Starting at Kegan's house in Magherafelt, then Glen Chapel, the old cottage outside Ballybofey in Donegal & the Villa Rose Hotel. This has left us with a brilliantly diverse selection of photos. I normally complain about our bad weather here in N Ireland, but I'm now officially finished complaining. Having been forced indoors for the past few weddings, I have been exploring new avenues of shooting indoors and I am really happy with the results. So much so that most of my recent favourite pics are ones taken indoors.

Making use of natural light coming through the windows, light fittings, table lamps and last but not least, the camera flash (always bounced). I even had John holding a floor standing light for me at one stage, to get the right light for one of Kegan's portrait shots (sorry for making you work on your wedding day John!).

We did brave the weather for a short while at the cottage outside Ballybofey. Thankfully the photos do not make it look anywhere near as cold as it really was. Well done guys for being up for this and actually being enthusiastic about it. After this there was a roaring open fire awaiting inside the cottage.

After the cottage we went to the Villa Rose Hotel. And I have to say I was really impressed with the Villa Rose Hotel. Rhonda, the planner at the hotel could not have been more helpful. I found the decor very inspiring. The bridal suite was probably the nicest I've ever seen. A massive round bed, and a round bath to match (also used for photos - all in good taste though!)

Well done to Kegan & John for making these great photos....
