Kinbane Castle

Kinbane Castle
Not as popular as some of the other sites along the Couseway Coast, Kinbane Head is well worth the steep desent down the cliffs. The climb back up could partly explain the unpopularity!
The castle was built in 1546 by Colla MacDonnell. Less than ten years later, in 1555, the castle was partially destroyed by English forces.
