Tracy & Kieran's Wedding
18th June 2011
Tracy knows how I like to point out any international or cultural variations in my couples, so she wont mind that the first thing I mention is that she was my first chinese bride. And rather less exciting, Kieran is from Swatragh...
It was a good start to the day for me, as Tracy was getting ready in Ard-Aulinn House, on one side of Swatragh and Kieran was getting ready at his parent's home on the other side of Swatragh, so I was able to do both houses before the ceremony. I also had time to meet the lads in Friel's bar for a quick shot or two of Kieran's last pint as a single man.
The ceremony was in Craigavole and it was straight to Derry afterwards for my first visit to Beech Hill Country House. I really am being spoilt with the photo session locations this year. This was perfect. There is a water course travelling from one end of the grounds through to the other end and it is laden with features: small lakes, water wheels, water falls, bridges & wiers. Then there are the lovely paths leading around the grounds and nice shrubbery & tree coverage to get shelter from direct sun or wind if needs be.
I personally had a great day, the 2 families and the bridal party were really in high spirits. I did have to slow my speech down a bit for the benefit of Tracy's family. I do tend to talk a bit fast when giving instructions. Sorry Amy and Craig. This could have been the first and last time I'll have to ask "where are the Wongs?"
Thanks Tracy & Kieran. Great day!

The lads chilling out on the farm, as only can farmers do. Tracy had left a bag of presents for Kieran to open while I was there. Spot the married man... Yep, he's the one that is ready before all the single men. Well done Michael.

This is supposed to be the serious part!

Patsy is a renowned pipe smoker. I asked him to give me his best 'pipe-pose'. Brilliant!

I said to the lads we were going to do a Reservoir Dogs shot. Tough looking, very serious. I took 8 shots. At least 2 people were laughing in each one. Sums up the day.

As a wedding photographer, you dont like to see this at a wedding. A guy with a big camera and bag of lenses.

Kieran's sister Katrina made the wee wedding couple. Very nice Katrina.
